Anatomy of the Horizon
There is a place where the body ceases to be body.
It happens slowly. The skin, its grain, its almost mineral texture, begins to blur into what surrounds it. And it happens at a point you could never name.
Where do you end and where does the world begin?
From that question the series was born.
Nine images. Three triptychs. A figure that appears, breathes, dissolves. First it is here. Then it hangs in the air, turned to vapour. In the end it returns to stone, to water, to the open, already something else.
Nothing is lost. It expands.
What seemed solid dissolves. What seemed empty was full. To become again, you must first stop holding yourself together.
There, breathe.

NEKA
NEKA photographs what exists at the threshold between one thing and another.
She is drawn to what cannot be seen at a glance: contained emotion, the precise distance between a face and the world around it, what a person carries within without knowing.
Anatomy of the Horizon is her first formal body of work. Nine pieces in limited edition where skin and landscape meet and dissolve. Not a project about the outer world, but about the inner territory made visible.
